- “Professor Walke is an excellent guide; the quality could not have been better.”
- “Professor Walke's guidance and support were invaluable to creating a successful practicum experience.”
- “The professor was well prepared in which helped me with how to manage my time in school and to be able to maintain work life balance outside of school”
- “Kyle is a phenomenal field instructor and it is obvious how much he cares about the well–being and professional development of his students. Kyle's field experience provided relevant insight into our work and he diligently provided quality course instruction and work.”
- “The ability to have a full–time practicum alongside the academics was crucial for this course. Kyle did a phenomenal job facilitating conversations regarding our education in the classroom's application to our field work and beyond. I appreciate having opportunities to complete an FBA with my class as well as practice common tools like a suicide screener, etc. Kyle was always flexible regarding what the class felt was pertinent towards our learning as well. For example, he had students complete a quiz that assessed what areas we needed more attention in (the FBA, tools/ resources a SSW may use in practice, screeners, etc.). Kyle's availability for feedback and consultation also facilitated the achievement of the course objectives.”
- “Professor Walke created an incredible environment for learning. When we met for class it always felt we were learning together and collaborating on our education. The material we covered was extremely practical as well and I felt I was able to take the information and use it directly in my work.”
- “Kyle is an incredible professor who genuinely cares for students. He is passionate about school social work and treats students as colleagues, valuing what we have to offer. Kyle validated our feelings and experiences because he has great knowledge of social work practice. I truly wish Kyle taught all of the classes because he is incredible!!!”

Completing the assignments and having the opportunity to present them in class gave me a deeper understanding of the learning objectives and skills. I appreciate all Professor Walke did for us this semester and would be thrilled to have him again!”
- “I love the professor for willing to work with me and understand my struggle. My professor was compassionate and open–minded about my issues.”
- “Professor Walke was phenomenal. He understands the challenges we were facing completing a practicum, working full time, and two classes. He was welcoming. He always started each class with an exercise in grounding/reflection/gratitude. That was much appreciated. He communicated clearly his expectations of us and what our assignments should have in them. He lessened our stress–load by allowing us to do presentations in a sharing circle style. He facilitated a seminar where we will ready did support our fellow classmates and learned a lot about practicum experiences in different settings. He really cares about the success of his students. HE IS A KEEPER!!!”

- “Professor Walke was a standout professor for my graduate school learning, and I wish I was able to spend more time learning from him. His content was engaging and didn't feel repetitive. He was available for consultation and provided quick feedback. He was very encouraging and wanted to get to know his students as much as he could during our limited time together.
